Yesterday marked the 25th annual running of the Iowa State Boys High School Classic held in Ames Iowa.
Among the many teams who flocked to the Lied Center, the A-D-M boys track team was present and put on quite a show coming away with two top 10 finishes.
The Tigers were represented by 11 athletes spanning 10 different events highlighted by freshman Tate Stine-Smith in the high jump event along with sophomore Colton Pirtle in the long jump event. Stine-Smith paced the group of Tigers clearing the high jump mark of 5’10” which tied him for eighth place overall alongside nine other athletes. Pirtle took home a tenth place finish in the long jump after leaping 18’7”.
Junior Lucas Heitz landed a top fifteen finish for the Tigers in the 60 meter hurdles after his time of 8.92 seconds landed him 14 out of a field of 79 finishers.
The ADM boys track team closes their indoor season Friday at the annual Central College Indoor Meet in Pella.
The A-D-M boys track team will round out their indoor season this Friday as they enter the annual Central College Indoor Meet in Pella beginning at 12:00 pm.
