For the second straight contest, the Waukee girls tennis team put on a flawless performance winning all eleven matches over Southeast Polk on the road Thursday, April 19.
It was the second straight road game for the Warriors and the second straight contest that Waukee has won by an 11-0 decision.
Elizabeth Messman started things off in position one for the Warriors as she brought her set and match records up to .500 with a 6-4, and 6-3 decision over Allyson Stutzman of Southeast Polk.
Senior Allie Witte remained unblemished in her match record after posting a 6-1 and 6-2 decision win while Megan Severson continued her undefeated match run after winning a pair of 6-2 sets.
Freshmen Morgan Seashore and senior Lauren Wadle both won by a pair of 6-1 sets while the singles scoring for Waukee was rounded out with Puja Mekala winning 6-0 and 6-2.
The same success was had within the doubles matches winning all five matches. Elizabeth Messman and Allie Witte led things off winning over Southeast Polk pair Allyson Stutzman and Molly Harvey 6-3 and 6-0. Megan Severson and Morgan Seashore continued their individual success with a doubles victory by 6-0 in set one and 6-2 in set number two.
Lauren Wadle and Puja Mekala teamed up in position three and won 6-0 in both sets one and two. The scoring was rounded out with the pair of Emma Kaney and Claire Peterson along with Delaney Deering and Brooke Conover winning by a 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-2 decisions respectively.
With the win the Warriors improve their overall record to 2-2. The next chance to grab another win for the Warriors will come on Tuesday, April 24 as they head back home to take on reigning Class 2A runner up Dowling Catholic beginning at 4 p.m.
