The Waukee boys’ soccer team now knows the path needed to arrive at the coveted state soccer tournament this year.
Thursday, the IHSAA released their sub-state pairings for all classes and residing in Class 3A’s sub-state eight bracket is the 11th ranked Waukee Warriors.
The Warriors will be the second seed in the bracket and will be among five other teams included top seeded Johnston, Council Bluffs-Thomas Jefferson, Dowling Catholic, Southeast Polk, and Council Bluffs-Abraham Lincoln. For the Warriors themselves, their 9-4 record has earned them a first round bye. Their first match up of the postseason won’t come until Wednesday, May 23 against the winner of Council Bluffs-Thomas Jefferson and Council Bluffs-Abraham Lincoln.
Waukee’s second round contest will be held in Waukee and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
