Winfield-Mount Union's Kaleb Hagge was medalist with a 2-over par 74 and the Wolves won the Class 1A sectional boys golf meet at Twin Lakes golf course on Friday.

Winfield-Mount Union won with 323 strokes and advances to the district meet at Pleasant Valley golf course in Iowa City Thursday. Also advancing are team runner-up New London (335) and third place finisher Danville (368).

New London's Clayton Phillips was runner-up medalist with a 75 and Winfield-Mount Union's Nolan Ross finished third individually at 78. W-MU's Kash Rossiter and New London's Justin Carter tied for fourth at 85 strokes.

The top two individuals not on advancing teams also qualify for the district. They are Holy Trinity's Collin Thornton, who carded a 90, and Iowa Mennonite School's Trevor Leyden, who had a 91.

CENTRAL LEE ADVANCES: Central Lee and host Williamsburg tied for the team victory with 341 strokes each in the Class 2A boys sectional at Stone Creek golf course.

The Hawks, Williamsburg and Mid-Prairie, which finished third in the team race with a 347, advance to Friday's district tournament at Heritage Oaks golf course.

Mid-Prairie's Noah Schlabaugh was medalist with a 79. Williamsburg's Ryan Cavett was second at 81 and Central Lee's Lane Campbell finished third individually with an 83.

Players not on advancing teams that earned district tournament berths are Wapello's Brentin Pallister, Van Buren's Tom Laughlin and Jonah Heckenberg, and Tyler Samuel of Mediapolis. All four carded 87s.

BURLINGTON 8, FORT MADISON 1: Brody Rung's goal gave Fort Madison a 1-0 lead, but the Grayhounds scored the next, and last, eight goals for the victory at Bracewell Stadium.

Burlington freshman Landon Steemer scored three goals to pace the Grayhounds. Alec Henrich scored twice and Brody Ertzinger, Harrison Murray and Max Wiemann each added a goal. Landon Wynn had two assists and Henrich, Steemer, Wiemann and Peyton Humphrey each had an assist. Goalkeeper Conor Kimble had three saves.

Fort Madison's AJ Nolting and Justin Bowker assisted on Rung's goal. Javier Trejo had 18 saves for Fort Madison and Carson Donaldson had two.

Fort Madison (3-10) hosts Danville-New London Monday. Burlington hosts Clinton in a Mississippi Athletic Conference match on Monday.

NOTRE DAME-WEST BURLINGTON 1, DANVILLE-NEW LONDON 0: Rudy Radice scored on a corner kick to lift the Nikes over Danville-New London at Tackleson Field in the quarterfinals of the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament.

Notre Dame-West Burlington faces Mediapolis at 11:45 a.m. today in the semifinals at Columbus Junction. That winner will meet the Iowa Mennonite-Central Lee winner at 2 p.m. today for the Superconference championship.

Danville-New London's Sawyer Foster had eight saves. The Bears (3-10) play at Fort Madison on Monday.

MEDIAPOLIS 2, COLUMBUS 1: The Bulldogs ousted Columbus in the quarterfinals of the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament at Kalona.

Shawn Yaley and Carter Konecne scored the Mediapolis goals. Konecne and Drew Zurmuehlen each had an assist and goalkeeper Shane Yaley had 13 saves.

The Bulldogs advance to this morning's semifinals at Columbus Junction. Mediapolis improved to 5-8. Columbus is 6-6.

CENTRAL LEE 6, HOLY TRINITY 3: The Hawks scored the match's first five goals en route to a quarterfinal win in SEI Superconference tournament at Notre Dame's Tackleson Field.

 Morgan Martin had two goals for Central Lee. Logan Sanders, Brandon Kincaid, Adam Boeck and Kacey Davis each added a goal. Sanders scored on a penalty kick. Boeck's goal was on a corner kick. Davis scored on a direct kick. Martin, Davis, Seth Mayes and Mason Schau each had assists. Blake Moeller had two saves and Skylar Schau had one.

Central Lee (9-5) advances to this morning's semifinal match against Iowa Mennonite School (12-0).

MID-PRAIRIE 4, KEOKUK 2: Ashton VanWinkle scored a hat trick top lead Mid-Prairie past Keokuk at Wellman.

Keokuk (0-12) hosts Fairfield Monday.

BURLINGTON 6, HOLY TRINITY 2: Emily Murphy scored five goals to lead the Grayhounds to a non-conference win over Holy Trinity at West Point's South Park.

Logan Ziegler added a goal and four assists. Bailey Wiemann and Tiffany Conrad each had an assist and goalkeeper Kayla Glasgow had six saves.

Claire Pothitakis and Maya Rashid scored Holy Trinity's goals. Emily Box had an assist. Sam Pothitakis had four saves.

Burlington (8-6) plays cross-street rival Notre Dame-West Burlington at Tackleson Field Tuesday. Holy Trinity (5-8) hosts Wapello Monday at South Park.

KEOKUK 12, MID-PRAIRIE 2: Sophie Woodley and McKenna Tackes scored three goals apiece to lead the Chiefs past Mid-Prairie at Keokuk.

Maggie Meyers, Evy Merydith, Macey Hughes, Hayley Householder, Isabelle Elston and Rylon Brumble each scored goals for Keokuk.

Keokuk (7-4) plays at Fairfield Monday.

NORTH 2, FORT MADISON 0: Davenport North blanked the Bloodhounds at Fort Madison.

MERCER COUNTY 11, WEST CENTRAL 2: The Golden Eagles banged out 14 hits, including three home runs, and rolled by West Central.

Kylee Oary, Chloe Kirkhove and Natalie Finch each homered for Mercer County. Kirkhove and Maggie Harrison had three RBIs each. Dani Hagens was the winning pitcher.

For West Central, Madelynn Reed and Megan McIntire each had two hits. Reagan Spence was the losing pitcher.
