A six-run fifth inning put Burlington High School in control and the Grayhounds defeated Jefferson, 13-8, at Cedar Rapids in a non-conference baseball game Monday night.
It was the third straight win for Burlington (15-18).
Mason Leinbach, Danny Topping and Drake Parks each had three hits for the Grayhounds. Reece Wissinger singled and tripled and Everett Willson hit a home run.
Brad Phillips was the winning pitcher in relief. He gave up two runs on two hits and five walks in three and two-thirds innings.
Burlington ends its regular season tonight, hosting Mount Pleasant.
