In a long evening of volleyball matches, the Hawks netters started out slow but finished strong. W-G was at ADM, Adel on Thursday, Aug. 30 to take on several different opponents starting with Nevada. The Hawks lost to their first rival 0-2 scoring 16 points in the first set and 18 in the second.

Their second opponent of the evening had a home court advantage as the Hawks took on the ADM Tigers. W-G came out with a loss again in a 1-2 battle. The first set saw a close score with W-G gaining 19 on the scoreboard before winning their second set. ADM took back the win in the third set with the Hawks scoring 13.

Halfway through the tournament W-G started to pick up momentum as they went in to play Perry next. In a two-set match, the Hawks won both times around to secure the overall win.

In their last match of the evening W-G played against Norwalk and were able to keep that momentum going. The Hawks finished out the tournament with another two-set match that proved to be victorious.

The Woodward-Granger netters hope to continue the winning streak they left ADM, Adel with and carry it on into their next match at Guthrie Center High School where they will take on both Guthrie Center and Audubon on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
