Carlee Brown and Elena AbouAssaly each won two individual events to lead Burlington High School to a 114-43 victory over Davenport North in a girls swimming dual meet at the BHS pool Tuesday night.

Brown won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke. AbouAssaly won the short and the long — the 50-yard freestyle and the 500 freestyle.

Also picking up individual victories for Burlington were Corinne Dengler in one-meter diving, Azriel Counterman in the 100 freestyle and Hannah Hentzel in the 100 breaststroke.

The Grayhounds won all three relays. AbouAssaly, Hentzel, Kirsten Walz and Raigan Munson won the 200 medley relay in 2:13.43. Counterman, Dengler, Anna McDowell and Walz won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:59.61. AbouAssaly, Counterman, Munson and Dengler won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:25.04.

WEST BURLINGTON 3, WACO 0: Sydney Marlow had 19 kills to lead West Burlington to a 25-10, 25-20, 25-16 SEI Superconference South Division win over WACO at Wayland.

Illiyah Moore had 10 kills for the Falcons and Alyssa Dameron and Raven Messamaker each had three. Bailey Jennings had 33 assists. Kadence Johnson led the WBHS defense with 18 digs. Marlow had 17 digs and Dameron finished with 10.

West Burlington (5-1) hosts Cardinal Thursday in a South Division match.

CLINTON 3, BURLINGTON 0: Grace Tubbs slammed 13 kills and served three aces to lead Clinton past Burlington, 25-17, 25-18, 25-12, in a Mississippi Athletic Conference match at Clinton.

Burlington slipped to 0-3 in the MAC and 0-8 overall. Clinton is 5-4 (2-1).

NO. 14 NEW LONDON 3, DANVILLE 2: No. 14 (Class 1A) New London survived a South Division scare, edging Danville in five games at New London. The Tigers won, 25-15, 19-25, 21-25, 25-12, 15-12.

Addie Pry led New London at the net with 21 kills and Kaylor Schulte added 19 more. Kristen Rohdy had 45 assists and 26 digs. Sophie Lounsbury led the Tigers in aces with four and blocks with 2.

BEARS WIN TWO TITLES: Danville-New London won two team titles in the Van Buren Invitational.

The Bears won the Class A boys title with XX points and the girls championship with 26 points. Holy Trinity's Matt Hellige was the Class A boys individual winner with a time of 17:32 and Danville-New London's Lexi Brown won the girls title in 20:33.

Fairfield won the Class AA boys team championship with 35 points. Davis County's Kenny Cronin won the individual race in 16:12. Davis County captured the girls Class AA title with Fairfield's Ashley Bloomquist the individual winner in 20:15.
