The Van Meter volleyball team picked up their seventh win on the season Tuesday night, welcoming in conference foe Pleasantville.

In their third shutout win of the season, the Bulldogs took the three set win 25-11, 25-22, and 25-20. The Bulldogs improve to 7-8 but break above the .500 mark in conference play at 4-3.

The Bulldogs are continually improving upon on thing that head coach Ed Brogean talked about earlier in the season.

“This team needs to continue to get experience under their belts,” said Brogean. “We have been getting better at our serve-receive but still have some room to grow in that area which isn’t a bad thing, it just means that we can get better.”

The Bulldogs will seek to claim a .500 record overall if not better as they tackle a weekend tournament in Madrid. There the Bulldogs are set to face off against Collins-Maxwell, Baxter, and West Marshall.
