Van Meter outscored Earlham 30-13 in the first half on Tuesday, and coasted to a 66-48 win.

Stephen Folkerts led the Bulldogs with a massive effort, garnering 29 points and 15 rebounds. He was 3-of-5 from 3-point range.

Brandon Brittain collected 14 points, four rebounds and five assists. Jake Eslick had six points and four assists and Parker Suckow contributed five points and five rebounds.

Van Meter’s season began with a 69-52 victory over Interstate 35 on Monday in Van Meter. The Bulldogs outscored the Roadrunners 23-11 in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs had five players with eight or more points and shot 51 percent from the field. Folkerts had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Ben Flaherty had 12 points and six rebounds and Eslick had 12 points and two assists. Brittain finished with nine points and eight assists, and Suckow had eight points and six rebounds.
