The A-D-M girls’ track team is off to a hot start in the outdoor season that included a fourth-place finish at the Urbandale Invitational on Monday.
Kari Dufoe broke a 45-year-old school record in the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 12.41 seconds.
Dufoe, who was also second in the 200 at Urbandale, teamed up with Bri Mueller, Regan Engleman and Torrie Hook to finish second in the 4×400 in 4:06.50, the third fastest time in Class 3A this season. The same four also won the 4×200 in 1:48.77, the fourth best mark in 3A.
The 4×800 team of Meuller, Brennan Hook, Jenny Wicks and Engleman was third in 10:37.82. Mackenzie Felt was third in the 100 hurdles (15.95) and Emily Hofmann was third in the 400 hurdles (1:13.87).

The Tigers’ 4×200 and sprint medley teams set meet records, Dufoe won both the 100 and 200, and Erica Baier improved her personal best in the shot put by 2 feet with a throw of 32-7.
Mueller was second in the 800 and Brennan Hook third in the 3,000.
