With two-straight blowout wins against West Central Valley and Carroll behind them it looked like the A-D-M girls’ basketball team might have a little momentum on their side, but Ballard put that to a stop beating the Tigers 52-39 in Huxley.

The Tigers stayed close with the Bombers in the second half outscoring them 32-29 but struggled in the first half being outscored 23-7. Ballard sophomore Gabbie Doud led all scorers with 18 points while adding nine rebounds and five assists against the Tigers.

Freshman Sydney Bertman led the way for the Tigers with 14 points off the bench on 4-of-6 shooting and 2-of-2 from three-point range.

Sophomores Molly Jacobsen and Brianna Mueller were also in double figures for the Tigers. Jacobsen and three treys that helped her to 13 points and Mueller recorded 10 points. Jacobsen and Mueller also led the team in rebounds with five apeice.

The Tigers continue their season on Friday with a game at Boone who they lost to back on Jan. 10 by a score of 52-31. Then on Feb. 11 they play at Carlisle who beat them 58-37 back on Jan. 14.
