The A-D-M girls’ soccer team snapped a five-game skid with a lopsided 7-0 victory against Boone on Monday.
Three players — Madi Bertman, Natalie Harada and Emily Hofmann — scored two goals apiece for the Tigers. Bertman’s first came in the 13th minute, and she headed in the second on a free kick from Hofmann in the second half.
Hofmann scored in the 47th and 49th minutes after intercepting passes in Boone’s back line. One of Harada’s two goals came on a free kick in the first half.
The Tigers dropped three games at their home tournament over the weekend, losing to St. Alberts 2-1, Bishop Heelan 2-0 and Des Moines Roosevelt 1-0, in a game that went to penalty kicks. The Roughriders topped A-D-M 4-1 in kicks, with Harada recording the team’s conversion.
The Tigers play host to Winterset on Thursday before traveling Friday to Cownie Soccer Complex for a nonconference matchup with Des Moines East.
