Tate Jensen caught seven passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough for A-D-M in a 45-28 non-district loss at Newton on Oct. 11.

Jensen scored on plays of 62 yards in the second quarter and 60 yards in the fourth, while quarterback Kolby Whisner was 16-of-24 for a season-high 331 yards. Johnny Reel had three catchs, and Grant Goeden, Jake Sloss and Joe Slooss all had two.

Goeden finished with 47 rushing yards and a touchdown, and also returned a kickoff 94 yards for a score.

Darold Baker and Isaac Norton each had 15 tackles to lead the defense, while Robby Sloss and Jesse Bennett each had eight.

The loss was A-D-M’s second straight against Newton, after a 17-13 loss in Adel last year.

A-D-M returns to district play on Friday with a trip north to Perry. The Tigers are tied for second with a 3-1 district record, while the Bluejays are 1-4 following a 48-27 win last week over Atlantic.

The Tigers close out the regular season on Oct. 25 at home against first-place Harlan.
