After a season of success on the mound, an A-D-M alumnus is raking in the accolades.

Cory Ferm, a junior at Bethany Lutheran College in Manketo, Minn., was named the Upper Midwest Athletics Conference’s pitcher of the year after posting a 6-3 record in 11 appearances. He recorded a 1.30 ERA and struck out 85 while walking just 18 in 69 1/3 innings. He limited opponents to a .179 batting average and threw three shutouts in conference play.

Ferm, who hit .324 as the team’s designated hitter, was also named to the third teams of both the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division III Midwest team as well as the All-Midwest Region team.

Bethany finished the season 14-16.
