Dallas Center-Grimes lit up the nets with four second-half goals in a 7-0 regional semifinal victory over Boone on Tuesday.

With the win, the Fillies’ 14th in 17 games this season, they advance to a regional final on June 3 against Des Moines Hoover. The 6 p.m. match in Grimes is a rematch of last year’s regional final, which DC-G won 2-1.

"We expect a hard-fought game from them and will have to be sure our girls are focused and ready to play for the opportunity to play in the state tournament," said coach Dan James.

Allison O’Brien scored twice against Boone and Madisen Quick, Kalee Findlay, Sydney Umbarger, Shelby Bowersox and Chelsea Fallis added goals.

"The Boone girls played with a lot of energy and gave our girls a challenge in the early part of the game," James said. "We finally settled down and played better soccer toward the end of the first half."
