Strong first halves helped Dallas Center-Grimes slide past Winterset on Tuesday and Carlisle on April 19.
McKenzie Smith and Allison O’Brien each scored in the first half of the Fillies’ 2-1 victory against Winterset on Tuesday.
"We played well and maintained possession for a good portion of the game," said coach Dan James. "It was another good win for us, and now our attention will focus on a great game with A-D-M on Thursday."
The Fillies scored five times in the first 16 minutes against Carlisle and cruised to a 7-0 victory.
All seven of the team’s goals came within the first 30 minutes of the game. Laura Kellogg scored in the sixth and 16th minutes, and Smith, Addy Rosa, Rachel McCarthy and Sydney Umbarger all found the back of the net. O’Brien had one goal and three assists.
"The first 20 minutes of the game was the best we had played all season," James said. "Out intensity was at a level we had not played at yet so it was good to see glimpses of what we have the potential to be by the end of the season."
DC-G plays host to A-D-M on Thursday.
