The Dallas Center-Grimes girls’ basketball team dealt Winterset a 59-47 defeat on Tuesday.

The Fillies led their former conference foes by seven points at halftime, but the Huskies pulled to within one point at the end of the third quarter. DC-G outscored Winterset 20-9 in the fourth quarter to roll to its eighth consecutive victory.

Dani Heritage topped 20 points for the third straight game and finished with 22. Allie O’Brien added 11 and Lexi Rosa finished with six.

DC-G used a 24-3 second quarter to springboard its way to a 74-44 victory at Knoxville on Jan. 17.

Heritage scored a team-high 22 points, including 6-of-6 from the foul line, and added six rebounds and five steals. Rosa tacked on 19 points and eight rebounds, and Paige Lowary finished with eight points. Jackie Peyton scored six points and O’Brien contributed four points, seven assists and six steals.
