A seven-run fifth inning lifted Woodward-Granger to a 12-2 regional victory over West Central Valley on Tuesday.

With the win, the Hawks advanced to a Wednesday semifinal game against Des Moines Christian.

Julia Evans went 3-for-4 with two doubles and drove in three runs, one of seven players to record multi-hit games. Bree Lesch singled three times and scored twice, and Dalaney Bice homered and drove in two. Both Alison Soelberg and Miranda Aunspach had two hits and two RBIs.

Bice pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and striking out four. Jordyn Achenback struck out the side in her inning of work.

W-G closed out the regular season with an 8-6 win over Southeast Webster-Grand on July 6 in Woodward, scoring four runs in the fifth and three in the seventh to take the victory.

Bice homered and drove in three, Lesch had three hits and scored twice, Miranda Aunspach homered and drove in two. Bice surrendered six runs, three earned, on seven hits.
