The Waukee girls’ basketball team headed into winter break with a 6-0 record after a 64-54 win over Southeast Polk.

Reilly Jacobson led the Warriors with 26 points and nine rebounds. She shot 8-of-10 from the field and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Taylor Wingert added 20 points and Ellie Cavanaugh finished with seven. Carlie Littlefield had six points, four assists and three steals, and Anna Kollmorgen added five assists.

The Warrior boys fell 59-58 in the second game, done in by a 3-pointer from Nick Carter with 1.1 seconds left.

Michael Jacobson had 30 points and nine rebounds for Waukee (5-2). Anthony Nelson had 16 points and nine rebounds and Nate Gehring scored six.
