The A-D-M baseball team laid claim to the Raccoon River Conference championship with three more conference victories in recent action.

The Tigers beat Boone 2-1 on Monday, and swept Carlisle in a doubleheader on July 5 by scores of 10-1 and 12-5, giving the team a final conference record of 15-1.

A-D-M pushed across a run in the eighth inning to beat Boone. Jordan Grove and Logan Essy drove in runs, while Chase Eddie struck out seven and scattered five hits over eight innings.

Essy was 4-for-4 with three RBIs in the team’s first game against Carlisle. Grant Goeden had three hits and Grove, Dylan Nelson and Kyle Herrick all finished with two apiece. Nelson struck out 10 and held Carlisle to just three hits.

A six-run fourth lifted A-D-M to a win in game two. Nelson doubled, tripled and drove in three, while Eddie went 3-for-5 with three knocked in. Jake Sloss drove in two and Goeden had two hits and two stolen bases. Herrick struck out 10, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits and two walks.
