Just five days after getting their first win of the season in the first round of the district tournament, the Hawks saw their season come to a close. The Woodward-Granger boys’ basketball team lost to Lynnville-Sully 63-27 in the district quarterfinals in Pleasantville on Feb. 22.

Lynnville-Sully went on to lost to Martensdale-St. Marys in the semifinals three days later by a score of 64-43 to advance to the district finals.

Going into the game against Lynnville-Sully, the Hawks were led in scoring by Nick Squires, who averaged 10 points per game this season with a 36.8 shooting percentage. He also led the team in defensive rebounds with 70.

Tre Loge led the team in total rebounding, grabbing 91 rebounds this season. Alex Boderman led the team in both 3-pointers with 23 and assists with 66.

The Hawks finished the season with a record of 1-23 overall.
