Seventh-ranked Waukee and sixth-ranked Ankeny split a doubleheader on Monday in Waukee.

The Warriors won game one 8-5, but dropped the second 12-1. Miranda Tiefenthaler was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in game one, while Shaye Witte drove in two and Callie Feaker scored twice. Kaitlyn Menz was the winning pitcher, allowing five runs, one earned, on six hits and fanning seven.

The team also beat Glenwood 5-1 on June 14, and split a doubleheader with Johnston on June 12. Menz struck out 14 in the eight-inning victory at Glenwood, surrendering just one run on three hits. The Warriors scored four runs in the eighth inning. Feaker homered, Nicole Tennant and Taylor Luther was 2-for-4 and both Witte and Claire Dudek drove in runs.

Waukee beat Johnston 1-0 in the first game but fell 6-4 in the second. Dudek drove in Witte in the third inning of game one, while Menz limited the Dragons to just three hits whiel striking out three.

Luther was 2-for-4 with an RBI in game two. Witte singled, stole a base and scored and both Mickelson and Tennant had RBIs.
