The Waukee wrestling team recorded three falls and four major decisions in a 61-9 thrashing of Des Moines North/Hoover on Tuesday.

Jakob Allison, Max Scheve and Jessen Hansen recorded pins, while Noah Gratias, Christian Hofbauer, Daniel Collins and Nathan Jacobsen nabbed major-decision victories for the Warriors, who improved to 2-1 in duals.

The Warriors captured three individual titles at the Bluejay Invitational in Bondurant on Dec. 7 and held off Ames for the top spot, 260 1/2 to 238.

Allison, Scheve and Jacobsen won individual titles. Allison recorded three falls en route to the 106-pound title, Scheve had two falls and a major decision at 126, and Jacobsen streaked through the 195-pound weight bracket with three pins, including a fall in 26 seconds against Cedar Rapids Washington’s Noah Fox.

Grant Brown was second at 138, recording a technical fall and 1:11 pin in his first two matches before dropping a 7-1 decision to Brody Harrison of Saydel in the championship bout.

Hofbauer (120) and Bryce Dunham (285) each wrestled back to finished third. Abdul Delati was fourth at 145, Connor Wachter placed sixth at 182 and Danny Collins was seventh at 132. Hansen (152), Myles Russell (160) and Shane Spkyksma (170) all finished eighth.

Waukee split a season-opening double dual with Des Moines Lincoln and Mason City on Dec. 5, beating Lincoln 54-21 but losing to Mason City 50-22.

The Warriors dominated Lincoln with seven pins, including a 15-second fall by Scheve, and 28-second pins from Delati and Sam Sporrer. Dunham and Brown also had first-period pins.

Allison and Tyler Pflastzgraff reocrded first-period pins against the Mohawks, and Noah Gratias added a 16-7 major decision at 113.
