The Waukee boys’ basketball team finished the regular season with an 18-4 record after losing to West Des Moines, Valley in the finale. The Warriors lost 62-55 on Feb. 22 in a game rescheduled from Feb. 20.

Michael Jacobson recorded another double-double scoring 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting and 11 rebounds. He also had two steals and a block.

Anthony Nelson led the game in scoring with 13 points going 3-of-15 from the floor and also grabbed seven rebounds. Nate Gehring led the Warriors in rebounding grabbing 13 boards in the loss. He also had a team-high four blocks.

Parker Howe only had two points in the game but led the Warriors in assists with four.

The Warriors begin post-season play this Friday against Urbandale in Waukee at 7 p.m.

In the first round of the district tournament Urbandale beat Norwalk 57-47 in Urbandale on Monday and has a record of 12-10 so far this season, including the postseason.

Waukee played Urbandale earlier this season back on Jan. 3 in Waukee and won by a final score of 80-67. Jacobson had a double-double in that game, scoring 21 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
