While Iowa has baked in 90-degree-plus weather for the past two weeks, many parts of the state are facing major road repairs because of buckling.

Dallas County has been fortunate, according to County Engineer Jim George.

“The only real trouble spot in the county is F90 south of DeSoto,” he said. “But, that’s a problem just about every year when the temperatures get really high.”
