Jason Edward Casey, age 41, passed away at the scene, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on June 9th, 2013. Jason was born on February 20th, 1972 in Sedalia, Missouri, raised in Adel, Iowa, the son of Dearld J Casey and Teresa L. (Forret) Leonard.

Jason was a bit of a jack of all trades. Mastering in mechanics, whether it be cars, motorcycles, or refurnishing motor homes. Being the mechanic he was … was a big part of his life. Of course that was second to being a father, to his son JC and his daughter Rylee Rose.

Jason was a quite a character. He always seemed to have a new joke to tell or could make anything in to one. He always made sure to make anyone laugh.

One of the things most respected about him was that even though he had such a carefree attitude in life, he also had a quite serious side, with a big heart.

He made a life for himself in the Beaver Dam, Arizona/Mesquite, Nevada, area.

Jason is survived by his mother, Terri Leonard; his sister, Angie (Casey) Chapman; his half brother Matt (Pete) Peters; his son JC (Jason Jr) Casey (22); his daughter Rylee Rose (8); his step father Steve Leonard; the love of his life Amy (Allen) Rueda; grandparents Goldie Hamel and Helen Hughlette; two half sisters Lori Ives Allee and Heather Ives Beazley; a half brother Gordon Clark; Dad, Gary Peters; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dearld J. Casey (2011), grandparents, Chester Ed Casey, Philip Hamel and Robert Hughlette.

Arrangements were entrusted to Virgin Valley Funeral Home in Mesquite, Nevada. A celebration of Jason’s life was held at The Dam Bar, in Beaver Dam, Arizona, on June 12, 2013.
