1. Bizarre History of Iowa
Thursday, June 7 at the Roy Estle Library in Dallas Center starting at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. Filled with strange deaths, ghosts, sea serpents, peculiar people, medical anomalies, oddities, psychic phenomena, and UFOs, this presentation will certainly change the way you view the good ol’ days of Iowa. The program is presented by Chad Lewis, author of “The Van Meter Visitor: A True and Mysterious Encounter with the Unknown.”
2. Grimes Governors Days 2018

3. Brick Builders
Saturday, June 9 at the Waukee Public Library from 10-11:30 a.m. Lego fans are welcome to join teen volunteers to play with the library’s Legos and complete original engineering challenges. No registration required.
4. Adel History Walk
Sunday, June 10, starting at Adel City Hall at 1:30 p.m. Hosted by the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce, this event will take you on a walk through downtown to learn the history behind several homes and buildings. Pre-registration is not required but appreciated.
