The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will be holding four informational, public meetings on the proposed county administration and jail facility at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, July 9, July 16 and July 23.

The meetings will take place around the county to "present the fact and let the public decide," Chair Mark Hanson said on Tuesday.

The locations have yet to be determined, but will be posted on the DCN’s website,

Plans to construct a new county administration and jail facility was unanimously approved by the board on April 30. They then approved a $16.850 million bond referendum to take to voters for a special election on Aug. 6.

Other buisness:

• Approved a 3-4 percent increase for county officials including conservation, board of health, veterans affairs, assessors board and emergency management.

Hanson stated the amount is a significant increase county officials have seen for the past few years, and;

• Approved a temporary road closure of 220th St. west of H Ave. The road is expected to open in a few months.
