The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tiger wrestling team traveled to Saydel for a triangular on Dec. 22 against Saydel and Panorama. The Tigers went 1-1 at the meet to kick off their winter break.

The Tigers fell to the Panorama Panthers 55-15. Andrew Flora, Nolan Harsh and Brodrick Schmidt were the only three victorious Tigers.

Flora wrestled Wyatt Clark in the 120 pound weight class. Flora was able to pin the Panther in three minutes.

Schmidt also pinned his Panther opponent. Schmidt wrestled Garret Fox at 160 pounds and won by fall in 5:05.

At 152 pounds, Harsh beat Panther Kaleb Stogdill in a 11-5 decision.

The Tigers won their dual against the Saydel Eagles, but by just two points (40-38).

Trevor Flettre (182) was the only Tiger to pin his Eagle opponent. Flettre took down Gabe Hiatt in 2:31.

The Tigers’ only other win against the Eagles was from Kolton Benz at 126 pounds. Benz won in a 13-1 major decision over Ryan Hynick.

The rest of the Tigers’ 30 team points came after Saydel forfeited five matches matches.

The Tigers will be hosting a dual against Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
