The A-D-M boys’ basketball team’s win total on the season remained at three after the Tigers (3-14) took their fifth straight loss on the road against Bondurant-Farrar on Friday, Feb. 2. The Bluejays won by a final score of 67-55.
The Bluejays (9-9) had the advantage in the first three quarters, outscoring the Tigers 22-13, 11-8 and 21-15. Once the game was in hand, the Tigers held the advantage in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bluejays 19-13.
The Tigers were 17-of-48 from the field and 4-of-16 from 3-point range. They were led by senior Rylan Heffernan, who was 3-of-8 overall and 2-of-5 on 3-point attempts for 15 points.
Senior Caleb Herrick was near a double-double for the Tigers with 10 points on a 3-for-4 shooting night and eight rebounds. Junior Koby Hardcastle scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds.
The Bluejays struggled from long range, connecting on just one out of 11 3-point attempts, while going 23-of-43 overall. They had four players in double figures with Tanner Bedier scoring 23 points, John Carlson scoring 15 points, Jordan Collins scoring 12 and Seth Moeller scoring 10.
The Tigers faced a tough defense as the Bluejays recorded eight steals and seven blocks in the game.
After a game against Carlisle on Tuesday, the Tigers will take on Boone at home on Friday as the season winds down. The game against the Toreadores begins at 7:30 p.m.
