Despite overcoming an early season negative, early offense was not enough for the A-D-M baseball team to find a win, loosing to Winterset by a 3-2 final.

The Tigers played mistake free defense but struck for only four hits in the outing against tough Winterset hurler Brock Johnson.

The bulk of the offense for the Tigers would arrive right away in the very first inning. Spencer Collins and Nick Lindgren wold record back to back RBI’s to provide the only runs A-D-M would deliver on. Collins had a solid night, reaching base safely in all three trips to the plate. The other three Tiger batters to record a hit were Dalton Hews with a pair of singles, and Ethan Meyer with a single in the fourth inning.

On the mound, senior Nick Dufoe suffered his fourth loss of the season on a night where he only gave up two earned runs on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

The Tigers drop their overall mark to 7-13 and with Winterset taking the two game series sweep, A-D-M now drops their conference record to 1-9.

The Tigers will finalize their four game home stand tonight with a conference season series finale against Carroll. That game will begin from Adel with first pitch at 7:15 p.m.
