The Dallas Center-Grimes softball team claimed another postseason victory doing so Thursday night in round one of the Class 4A region four playoffs.

The Fillies entered the postseason on quite the hot streak winners of five out of their last six games. Thursday night the Fillies pounded out 17 total hits on offense en rout to a 12-0 win over Knoxville in an abbreviated six innings of action. Inside the circle, Lani Gannon had perhaps her best outing of the year with a three hit shutout for her 14th win of the season. Gannon has now just 148 hits given up all season long.

The Fillies are now 16-22 on the year and will look to extend their winning streak to seven games as they take on round two against the top ranked Wildcats in Carlisle. That round two match up will begin from Carlisle on Saturday, July 7 with first pitch getting things started at 7 p.m.
