It was a rough night offensively for the ADM girls’ basketball team Thursday night as they fell on the road in Huxley 47-32.
Overall it was the lowest point total for a single game on the season and it resulted in ADM’s sixth loss of the season. Throughout the last six games of action, the Tigers suffered just three single digit scoring quarters but they matched that Thursday night scoring seven points in the first, four points in the second, and nine points in the fourth.
For the first time all season, the Tigers didn’t have a single player touch double digit scoring on the night despite six different scorers.
Anna Kenny came off the bench strong to lead the team with nine points scored on four-of-five two point shots and one-of-two from three point range. Junior Abbie Hlas connected on all four of her free throw shots along with a mark of two-of-nine from field goal range to add eight points tot the contest. Delaney Bertman matched Hlas’s eight points on three-of-eight two point shooting with four rebounds and two steals on the night.
As a team the Tigers did manage 24 rebounds and snatch eight steals along with two assists and four blocks.
The loss drops the Tigers to 10-6 overall and will have a chance to get back in the win column on Tuesday, January 22 when they welcome back conference play against Winterset.
