It was another top two outing for the Waukee girls golf team Monday, April 29 as they traveled to Jester Park Golf Course.


The Warriors were part of a ten team field and through tough competition, they walked away with a second-place finish thanks to a team score of 328 through 18 holes of action. For the third straight meet, the Warriors placed at least two golfers inside the top ten including Jessey Wyzgowski and Megan Seiler. Wyzgowski posted a five-over-par mark of 41 across the front nine and a three-over-par mark of 39 for an 18 hole score of eight-over-par 80. That gave Wyzgowski a sixth-place finish while Megan Seiler placed ninth with an overall mark of 87 through 18 holes. Seiler posted seven pars to post a front nine score of 43 and a back nine score of 44.


Elle Kramer posted a 12th place finish thanks to her nine-hole score of 92 which came from a front nine score of 45 and a back nine score of 47. Kramer was then followed by Meghan Doherty who carded an 18 hole round of 95 which was then followed by Emalee Andrews coming off of a first-place finish and carding a 96 for 15th place Monday afternoon.


Next up for the Warriors will be a match-up against Mason City on Thursday, May 2 at the Mason City Country Club. First tee-off will commence at 3:30 p.m.
