Michael Jacobson scored 19, Tyrese Haliburton stuffed the statsheet and the Iowa State men’s basketball team routed a collection of all-stars from the game’s host city of Siena, 94-40, on Thursday to improve to 2-0 on the Cyclones’ tour of Italy.
Haliburton had 10 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals on the day while George Conditt IV added 10 points. Freshmen Luke Anderson and Caleb Grill both scored eight points while Rasir Bolton pitched in with seven.
Grill also had six rebounds while Solomon Young had seven.
The Cyclones next will face the Ivory Coast national team Saturday at noon in Vicenza to finish off its foreign tour, which is allowed every four years under NCAA rules.
