Van Meter opened its season with a 35-0 victory over Earlham on Aug. 30.
The Bulldogs racked up 385 yards of offense while holding the Cardinals to just 167. Quarterback Brandon Brittain was 14-of-24 passing for 234 yards. He was intercepted twice and threw touchdown passes of 38 and 40 yards in the third quarter to Logan Crawford, and also rushed for 46 yards and a score.
Cody Blackwell carried 11 times for 64 yards and two scores. Crawford caught four passes for 103 yards, Ben Flaherty caught six passes for 97 yards and Grant Gordon caught four passes.
Crawford led the defense with nine tackles and Ben Engstrand had seven. Engstrand and Brady Ladd each recovered fumbles.
The Bullodgs play host to Madrid on Friday. The Tigers beat Des Moines Christian 30-7 last week.
