Van Meter lit up the scoreboard with an eight-run third inning, leading to a 10-0 victory over West Central Valley on Monday.

Leasha Porter homered and drove in three runs. Hope Connor doubled twice and scored twice and both Kila Carbine and Kendall Anderson had two-hit games.

Carbine was perfect in the five-inning victory, striking out six and walking none.

Van Meter also beat Panorama 4-2 on June 13 and lost to Martensdale-St. Marys 7-3 on June 12.

Porther had two hits against Panorama, while Carbine doubled and drove in two and both Ana Angel and Connor were 2-for-3. Anderson struck out seven, allowing two runs on four hits and seven walks.

Angel and Connor each had three hits against M-SM. Carbine surrendered seven runs, three earned, on four hits and four walks in four innings. Anderson pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
