Lego ® Building Contest: Saturday, June 22nd at 10am & 1pm

Bring your latest LEGO creation to the library and show the judges your LEGO skills! The theme for this contest is “Under Construction”. Ages 8 and under will take place at 10am and ages 9 and older will take place at 1pm, please register in advance.

Movie Monday: Monday, June 24th at 2pm

Join Janet at the library today at 2pm for popcorn and to watch “Hott” (PG). No registration necessary, space is limited.

Skin care and make-up party: Thursday, June 27th at 2pm

Get expert advice on skin care and make-up along with free samples. Recommended for ages 9 and up, please register.

Worm Races: Friday, June 28th at 3:30pm

Bring an earthworm from your backyard or use one of ours and cheer them on in our worm race tournament. All ages, please register.

Bookclub: Monday, July 1st at 7pm

The Grimes Library Bookclub will be discussing “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed. Pick up a copy at the circulation desk and join us at 7pm.

Library Closing: The library will be closed Wednesday, July 4th.

Craft day: Sand art pictures: Saturday, July 6th at 1pm

All ages, no registration necessary.

Ongoing events:

Move and Groove: Mondays at 6:30pm

Come join Kelly for some music, singing, moving and grooving! For movement on the floor you may bring a towel or yoga mat. No registration necessary and children under 5 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Toddler Time: Tuesday and Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.

Toddlers 18 months to 3 years old and a caregiver are invited to join us as we introduce literacy and a love of books through storytelling, rhymes, songs and crafts. No registration required; space is limited.

Preschool Story Time: Tuesday at 10:00 am and Wednesdays at 10:00 and 10:45 a.m.

Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 years are invited to join us as we share stories, rhymes, songs, games and crafts. No registration required; space is limited.

Baby Lapsit: Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.

A time for babies 0-18 months and their caregivers to play and grow through songs, short stories, nursery rhymes, and other developmental activities. No registration required.

Evening Story Time: Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

Families are invited to listen to stories, participate in songs and rhymes, and make a craft. No registration required; space is limited.

Video Gaming: Tuesdays at 4:30pm

Kids in 5th grade and up are invited to the library on Tuesday nights for video gaming fun. No registration required.
