Farm Bureau begins "Back the Blue" campaign
To show support for local law enforcement, the Dallas County Farm Bureau and Dallas County Farm Bureau Financial Services have begun a “Back The Blue” campaign. Farm Bureau is providing free blue light bulbs to Dallas County residents and is encouraging home owners to switch out their traditional porch/front door lights for the blue bulbs.
“We want to show support for the men and women who protect and serve the residents of Dallas County and all over the nation”, said Dallas County Farm Bureau President, Tanner Rowe.
To join in the “Back The Blue” cause, local residents can stop by three locations to pick up their bulb at no cost: Dallas County Farm Bureau Office, 112 Nile Kinnick Drive South in Adel, Farm Bureau Financial Services, 154 SE Laurel Street, Waukee and Farm Bureau Financial Services, 1009 Willis Avenue in Perry.
“With the recent tragedy here in Iowa, we wanted to do something positive. We wanted to show that we need to stand together during tough times and we appreciate our local law enforcement officers.”, Rowe said.
