July 15, 2020

A 28 year old male Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-probation violation- original charge of possession of a controlled substance.

A 50 year old male DeSoto resident was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear- original charge of driving while barred, driving while license under suspension.

A 51 year old female Minburn resident was arrested on a warrant for driving under suspension.

July 16, 2020

A 55 year old male Urbandale was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

A 29 year old female Mason City resident was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized use of credit cards and failure to appear for PSI interview.

A 39 year old male Perry resident was arrested on a warrant for domestic abuse assault and violation of a no contact order.

Deputies responded to a three car vehicle accident in the 28000 block of Highway 44. Driver one was traveling east on Highway 44 when he crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by driver two. Driver three was behind driver one and was unable to avoid striking vehicle one. Driver one was transported to Mercy Main Downtown by EMS, driver two was transported by EMS to the Veterans Affair Hospital. Driver three was not injured. Damage to vehicle one estimated at $5,000, vehicle two estimated at $5,000 and $2,000 to vehicle three. Driver one was cited for unsafe passing.

Driver one was traveling south in the 12000 block of S Ave., when driver two was backing out of a private field entrance and struck the passenger side of vehicle one. No injuries reported. Damage to vehicle one estimated at $5,000 and $200 to vehicle two. Driver two was cited for unsafe entry onto the roadway.

July 17, 2020

A 63 year old female West Des Moines resident was arrested at 201 Nile Kinnick Dr., for public intoxication.

July 18, 2020

A 27 year old male Altoona resident was arrested in the 22000 block of Highway 141 for OWI and driving while barred.

A Centerville driver was traveling west near the 113 mile marker of Interstate 80 when a strong gust of wind made the camper she was pulling to sway. It then jack knifed and slid into the cable barriers. No injuries reported. Damage to the camper estimated at $5,000 and $150 to the cable barrier post.

July 19, 2020

A 50 year old female Jefferson resident was arrested in the 26000 block of Highway 141, Bouton for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to provide proof of financial liability.

July 20, 2020

A vehicle versus deer accident was reported near the 106 mile marker of Interstate 80. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $10,000.

A 21 year old male Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for probation violation- original charge of burglary 1st, burglary 3rd and robbery.

Driver one was traveling north in the 26000 block of N Ave., slowing down with her turn signal on to turn left when a vehicle behind her driven by driver two struck her. No injuries reported. Damage to vehicle one estimated at $10,000 and $500 to vehicle two. Driver two was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.

July 21, 2020

A 34 year old male Granger resident was arrested for assault.

A 51 year old male Perry resident was arrested on a warrant for violation of a no contact order.
