Update: Gonzalez was located Friday night, according to a Facebook post from the Boone Police Department.

The Boone Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 15-year-old.

Ramon Flying Eagle Gonzalez went missing Monday, according to a Facebook post from the Boone Police Department on Thursday evening.

Gonzalez is believed to be in the Boone or Des Moines area, the post said. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 255 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Ramon Flying Eagle Gonzalez of Boone has been missing since Monday.

Gonzalez's brother Julian Foltz, a Des Moines resident, said he found out Gonzalez was missing Friday morning through social media. Foltz last heard from Gonzalez on Monday, when the teenager said he was going to hang out with friends.

Foltz said someone told him Gonzalez is in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area. He said he has shared this information with police.

"Ramon is a caring kid. He has so many friends that love him around here," Foltz said. "Our little brother Pedro is like his best friend in the world ... I don't know why Ramon would leave Pedro like that."

Foltz has set up a public Facebook group called "Find Ramon."

Anyone with information regarding his location is asked to contact the Boone Police Department at 515-433-0527.
