A-D-M loses in close dual to Carroll
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn boys’ golf team lost to Carroll on Monday, April 24 at the Carroll Country Club. The dual was close with A-D-M finishing just one stroke over Carroll.
Each A-D-M golfer shot in the 40s, just four strokes from one another.
Jacob Schumacher was A-D-M’s leader with a score of 41 strokes. He was also the runner-up medalist of the meet.
Micah Moyer followed Schumacher with 42 strokes. To finish up the 173 strokes for A-D-M, Matthew West and Will Geadelmann both shot a 45.
“The boys lost a hard fought match with Carroll on Monday afternoon,” said coach Kelly Roder. “Very windy conditions once again, but the boys didn’t quit, which was good to see. We dealt with winds over 20 mph the entire round. It was good to be able to play the course as we will be back in a couple weeks for the conference tournament. We will at least have some experience on the tougher of the two nines.”
A-D-M finished the meet with 173 strokes as a team and Carroll won by just one stroke (172).
